For New Parents & Members
- Is there a uniform requirement? Yes, youth and leaders are encouraged to wear their full uniform to and from all activities. It is important that the uniform is maintained correctly, including neatly rolled scarves with a woggle.
- What footwear should my child wear? Since we spend a lot of time outdoors, children must wear suitable outdoor footwear. For safety reasons, bare feet, thongs, sandals, and Crocs are not permitted.
- How do I drop off and pick up my child? Please drop off and pick up at the specified times. For safety, we ask parents to walk to the pathway at pickup so leaders can see you before releasing your child; we will not send a child to a parking lot alone.
- How do we track progress and badges? Members use the "Terrain" platform to record their scouting journey. While leaders help, members are expected to put in individual effort at home - such as practicing knots or cooking -to earn their badges.
Parental Involvement
- Can parents help out? Absolutely! We encourage all parents to register as adult helpers in ScoutHub. If you are at a loose end during a meeting, feel free to stay, inform a leader, and join in the fun.
- Is there a parent roster? To ensure the best experience, we may include a parent helper roster in the term program. If you cannot make your assigned slot, please swap with another parent and inform the leader as soon as possible.
