Despite braving three days and two freezing nights, the Elanora Scouts turned the recent June long weekend District Camp into an unforgettable adventure. The action-packed itinerary featured everything from engineering pioneering structures and visiting the local Rural Fire Service (RFS) station to hosting a traditional campfire.
The scouts also showcased their culinary talents by cooking a three-course lunch for a visiting leader and took part in an interactive Indigenous education session, where they learned about bush tucker and the art of throwing a boomerang. A particular highlight was a discovery walk through historic Berrima; and a well-deserved stop at the local lolly shop!
Throughout the weekend, the Elanora Scouts represented their group with immense pride and impeccable manners. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude didn't go unnoticed, drawing glowing compliments from fellow Scout leaders and members of the general public alike. It was an absolute privilege to witness their teamwork and community spirit first-hand.
B R A V O, team!
